New Year, New Beginnings

Hi Everyone,

Wow, it's been quite a while since there's been a new post here! Hope everyone is doing well.

There are a lot of changes happening on many fronts. Changes in our personal lives, changes in our work lives, changes in our nation- everything. So, please hold true to this statement: Share the Love.
Take time to stop, breathe, and notice something beautiful. Say something nice to a random person each day. Their day will be brighter because of this small act, and so will yours. Also, don't forget-
do something each day for yourself that makes YOU happy. Whether that be grabbing a coffee at
Starbucks or taking a walk around the block, or even turning off your phone and computer for 15 minutes of peace, do something that makes you happy. You are worth it. YOU deserve to be happy.

Love,

-TheWriter

New Snowflake Black Music About To Debut!!!

From the grand time of Memphis brass, and St. Louis strings, comes a rebirth of the 70s. Reminiscent of the soulful songs of the legendary Al Green and HI Records, SnowFlake Black and producer, LORD TOPH, pay homage to an unforgettable sound that has shaped so many lives, and created so many memories. "I'll Be Right Here" tells the story of love; faithful, undying, and unforgettable. Featuring the vocals of character vocalist, Lewis Otis to introduce the story of the song, before SnowFlake Black attacks the track's second verse with a lyrically syncopated agility to heighten the song, and deliver it to classic R&B/Hip-Hop appeal. A tribute to the days of AM radios, and LP stereos, "I'll Be Right Here" is a "feel good" song for every music listener to appreciate and enjoy. "I'll Be Right Here" is the first official release from SnowFlake Black's collection, "The 8 Trax."

Brilliance= Ebony Anne Isaac

I have heard this girl sing recently, and she is absolutely brilliant!!!
I saw this posted online and thought I would share :)

Introducing Lord Toph's protegee'...songstress, Ebony Anne Isaac.

This past Summer, Ebony got a taste of theater performance, and a Broadway-made-famous play; the ever classic "Little Shop of Horrors."
Ms. Isaac played the vibrant, "Chiffon" in the play, and received raving reviews throughout the Hudson Valley.
What's next for Ms. Isaac? She'll be joining her producer, Lord Toph once again, teaming up with her newly formed West Coast family,
and collaborating with her musical brothers, and sister (SnowFlake Black, Kyle Whitney, and Valerie Entraygue).......

"Defining the Empathicist" by LORD TOPH

I saw this and knew immediately I needed to share. Brilliant!!!

Defining An "Empathicist"
LORD TOPH

Empathy

em·pa·thy [em-puh-thee]
–noun
1.the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.
2.the imaginative ascribing to an object, as a natural object or work of art, feelings or attitudes present in oneself: By means of empathy, a great painting becomes a mirror of the self.
[Origin: 1900–05; < Gk empátheia affection, equiv. to em- em-2 + path- (base of páschein to suffer) + -eia -ia; present meaning translates G Einfühlung]

As children, so often times we were told, "jvst paint what yov feel." In retrospect, as a child I did exactly that. Yet as we progress in matvrity and age, we transgress in ovr empathic awareness only to be reconditioned to believe in only what we see is defined as reality. This point of "view," vnconciovsly reprograms ovr thovght to rationalize and overrvle what we feel. In tvrn, we trade a limitless sense of emotional expression and detection, for a more stabilized boundary controlled consciovsness. It is the "natvre of the hvman" to become this way...yet, not "hvman natvre."
The empathicist feels first, then sees second in order to create. This is most likely occvrring dvring the execvtion of brvsh to canvas and stroke. In order to see, one mvst think. Yet this process is svperceded by feeling. In example...as a person with eyes closed, blindfolded, or even blind; after so long, they begin to feel the objects svrrovnding them long before tovching them or bvmping into them. In this state (with "eyes wide shvt" as one might say), the individval becomes reawakened to instinct, and liberated to a higher sense of intvitiveness and svbconsciovsness. This is when the emapathicist is inspired, or rather "in-spired". to create ("spire" in definition, simply means a point, pinnacle, or svmmit). He or she focvses on, and becomes more in tvned to painting from feel, as opposed to sight. The techniqve of brvsh stroke, choice of svbject matter, or medivm is redirected when the artist begins to create based on empathy...hence redefining the artist's creative process, and style completely. As it has been coined in phrase..."the blind leading the blind"...this may be so in many contemporary styles...bvt the vision...leads the empathicist.

"Expressions of Empathy"- LORD TOPH Beverly Hills Gallery Show

As I walked through the room, taking it all in, I was suddenly transported to someplace I had never been before, and my transporter was the art. Each and every work held layer upon layer of pure emotion, giving a glance into private thoughts of the artist, almost as if telling the viewer a secret. LORD TOPH has officially arrived in Los Angeles, and brought with him something deep, affecting, and magical in his art. One of my favorite works of the "Expressions of Empathy" gallery show was "Mary's Pretty Modesty", which seemed to capture a moment of pure joy, yet there was something so curious about it.

Snowflake Black- in the Metro, Los Angeles

Standing there, listening as we rehearse in the subway- I am blown away by the talent. Snowflake Black is working out a new rhyme, effortlessly gliding through each lyric as though he was flying through the air. The whisper of the train creeps up, but the words keep flowing with every breath he takes, and his voice soars, creating echoes in the tiled space. People getting off the train immediately stop, and listen. We all can't wait to see this brilliant artist on the charts, and hear what he will come up with next.
